Testing & Technical Assessment.

Data-backed ground truth — accredited non-destructive testing and field inspection that replace assumption with verified numbers, so a structure is neither over-designed nor left carrying a hazard nobody has looked for.

What we deliver

Accredited NDT and field testing that replace assumption with verified ground truth: concrete strength, rebar layout, carbonation depth and soil bearing capacity — protecting clients from over-design on one side and from unaddressed structural hazards on the other.

  • Schmidt rebound hammer (ASTM C805): in-situ surface hardness, uniformity mapping and strength correlation
  • Ultrasonic pulse velocity (ASTM C597): acoustic testing for internal voids, cracks and honeycombing
  • Core extraction and crushing: diamond coring located to miss reinforcement, laboratory compression per ASTM C42
  • Ferroscan rebar detection: electromagnetic mapping of bar location, spacing, diameter and concrete cover
  • Carbonation and chloride testing: phenolphthalein depth measurement to establish degradation and cover adequacy
  • Soil investigation and bearing capacity reports with SPT, sampling and geotechnical coordination
  • Existing-structure assessment under ACI 364.1R: capacity review, repair recommendations and load-rating advice
02 DeliverablesIncluded

Every package includes

Clear deliverables, fixed scope, milestone billing.

Ferroscan Survey

Electromagnetic rebar mapping — location, spacing, cover and diameter — charted onto your own CAD backgrounds.

Core & Lab Testing

Diamond cores located to miss reinforcement, crushed in accredited laboratories and mapped back to grid positions.

Evidence Dossier

Rebound, UPV, core, carbonation and soil results georeferenced and audit-ready for insurers, lenders and authorities.

03 ProcessHow we work

How an MTech project runs

From agreed design basis to senior peer vetting and signed submission — the same five-step rhythm on every engagement, so you always know what happens next.

Consultation

We agree what the assessment has to prove — whether that is a capacity review, a defect investigation, an insurance condition or a pre-purchase check.

Survey & Analysis

A walkover and drawing review set the test plan: which members, what methods, how many points, and how the locations will be marked so they can be found again.

Testing & Review

Calibrated equipment, cited methods and controlled sampling — rebound, UPV, ferroscan, cores, carbonation — with results read back against the design intent.

Reporting

One dossier: results by grid position, statistical interpretation, correlation to design strength and clear conclusions a structural reviewer can defend.

Follow-on Support

Repair specifications, capacity or load-rating advice, monitoring schedules and re-testing after remedial work.

04 Design basisStandards

Codes and standards we work to.

Every test follows a cited method and a calibrated instrument, so the numbers hold up in a structural review, an insurance claim or a court.
